Fill Your Life With Encouraging Words

Think back to the last time you received some kind of encouragement from somebody in your life. How did those words make you feel? Did they spark some kind of positive change or positive reaction within you? How did you react? If you are fortunate to be surrounded by people in your life who encourage you on a daily basis, you will find yourself more frequently starting to repeat the encouraging words of others to yourself. Their influence on you and your life will start to become a major part of who you are. You will learn to use the confidence gained from the encouragement of others to encourage yourself.

As I have written several times previously, real, true happiness comes from within, but, if you surround yourself with positive, happy people, those people can add to your happiness. Likewise, when you allow negative people to influence you, their negativity will start to affect your mood. When you allow other people to affect your mood, you are giving them power. Be careful when deciding to whom you are giving this power to impact your life and your attitude. When you carefully choose to only allow positive influences into your life, you will start to discover a level of happiness and positivity in your life that many people only dream of experiencing.

The words people say to you every day can have a lasting impact on your life. This is why it is so important to cut out the negative influences in your life, as hard as that may be sometimes. Oftentimes, the hardest things that we have to do in life are the best decisions and most important things we can do for ourselves. Making the incredibly difficult decision to remove certain friends or even certain family members from your life may be a scary thought, but, if they are impacting your life negatively, you will look back on that decision later and be thankful you went through with it.

Even the most confident and positive people need a little extra encouragement, at times. Lean on the positive people in your life when necessary to find that encouragement and help you to get back on track. The people who truly love you will always be there for you when you need some encouragement. Not only will they be there for you when you need them, but they will selflessly be happy they were able to provide you with support and encouragement in your time of need.

The feeling of encouraging and positively impacting others may even be more satisfying than receiving it from others. Be sure to let the people you love most know that you appreciate their encouragement by returning the favor. Support and encourage them as much as they support and encourage you. Knowing you are able to make such a wonderful difference in the life of someone you love will hopefully remind you that you have the ability to do the same for yourself, as well.

Remind yourself every day of the encouraging words and phrases that have been shared with you by the people who have had the greatest positive influence on your life. Make those encouraging words a part of your daily life. Keep them fresh in your mind and let the meaning behind those words guide you through the challenges you face every day.

I often hear people say the phrase, “Actions speak louder than words”. While that may be very true in many cases, never underestimate the power of words. Words can have a greater impact on your life than you may realize, until after those words have already begun to influence your thoughts, your own words, and, eventually, your actions. Surround yourself with the most loving and encouraging people you possibly can. Use the encouragement of these people to help you conquer any challenges you face in your life. You will be amazed by what is possible when you fill your life with encouraging words.
